Expense Recorder

A free daily expense tracker for the small purchases, savings and upcoming costs that make up your month.

Opening your expense recorder…

Understand your daily spending, one record at a time

A meal, a bus fare and a quick online order can be easy to forget by the end of the week. Keeping a daily expense log gives you a record to return to. Enter each purchase with its date and category, then use the month filter to review what you spent alongside money you set aside.

Keep purchases, savings and plans separate

If lunch costs ₹120 and transport costs ₹50, your recorded spending is ₹170. Saving ₹50 belongs in the savings total. A ₹600 purchase you are considering belongs in planned expenses until you pay for it, so it does not inflate money already spent.

Give non-essential purchases a second look

Before buying something optional, review your recent expenses and upcoming costs. Mark purchases as essential or non-essential if that helps your review. The labels are yours to choose; a useful spending routine should reflect your circumstances.

Try recording purchases for a week, then review a full month to include less frequent costs. Look for repeated purchases you want to keep, reduce or plan for. This tool organises the amounts you enter; it does not predict your finances or guarantee savings.

A simple spending routine

  1. Add a record. Choose an expense, savings amount or planned purchase. Enter its amount, currency and date, with a category or short note if useful.
  2. Review your spending. Compare spending and savings in the selected month. Keep planned purchases separate until you actually pay for them.
  3. Keep a copy. Edit or delete records when needed, and export a CSV copy of all your saved records.
